Why are we still measuring age chronologically?

Anyone would think that we actually owe something to father time. Yes, it passes, but no, we are not obliged to be in any way determined by it. With considerably extended youth span only just around the corner surely time is long overdue for measuring our age in units of actual ageing/in terms of our "real age"?
What is real age, well, instead of merely measuring the passage of time, real age measures our age/how much we have aged/changed. Nothing is known for sure of any individual merely on account the passage of time, and this even extends t include their age/their real age. Some shall have left their youth back in their twenties, whilst others may remain young well into their sixties. Much ageing is likely caused through our over respect for the passage of time.
It`s the future measure. Any comments?
N.B. Current social age prejudice and discrimination, (work place is being taken on board) may remain with us, but inevitably must move in step with real age once childhood has been left behind..

Your age is not how old you act or how old you think you are. It's just how long you've been alive for. You are overthinking here.
Because age is a time interval by definition.

Can you put that in simple terms please?

If we're measuring terms of maturity then it doesn't work because it's all relative

Where did the quote come from, and do you deploy the word "maturity" as a precise replacement for "ageing"?

The question is this, are we merely predisposed to the chronological measure for age, for this is the form of ageing which can, and in a direct sense, be measured in relation to the passage of time, Is this why we still insist on measuring our age solely in units of time, and "merely", because nothing happens as consequence to its passage other than that viewed under a very powerful microscope. Perhaps our sole interest is in a measure for statistical likely remaining years?

The fact is this, that nothing beyond the occasion of adulthood is known for sure of any individual person merely on account elapsed time, and nothing includes one`s age, one`s actual/real age/biological and measurable age. Why then are we so stuck in our ways when science has long passed us by. This tendency for us to age in time, have you never considered that this may not just be psychologically programmed into us? After all, it is our brains that control our entire chemistry, and therefore must play a very significant role in the rate of our demise. Our endocrine system is considerably influenced by mood.

What are some of these biological measures you ask. Try, muscle percentage, resting pulse, metabolic rate, cholesterol profile, blood pressure, rate of recovery, vitality, sexual desire, the list goes on. The point is this, that by this measure something is being measured. The guy of the same period since birth may have a real age 10 yrs your senior. The guy ten years your senior may be your age, with everything which genuinely counts in common. It obviously works in reverse too. There is currently considerable inappropriate disparity of years prejudice in our society. Where friendship is concerned is any of it even appropriate, beyond of course the utter extremes of jealousy at its root. I believe that the conceptual jealousy plays the larger part in causation of your eventual programming.

Cobra, I could not agree more. That rubbish saying, "you are as old as you feel". belongs back at our very origins. We age in time, those of us that do, because deep down we are programmed to desire conformity with our peers/we want not to be misfits/to be judged by our peers.

Everything of my views is always entirely novel...

What quote?

You've clearly thought a lot about this, I must admit that I haven't. I just don't understand what other measurement of age there could be than how long it has been since you were born.

Those measures I gave you, they come with a formula which gives you a product, and the product is your actual real age, and measured in years; but it is no longer a measure for the passage of time. To which, in reality, we owe absolutely nothing too....
