Would be a massive risk by the board to keep LVG. He's had 2 years now and while he's done some good work with the squad from the Moyes era, he's not shown he's the man who's going to take the team to the next level. He's only got one more year on his deal anyway so you're only delaying things by 12 months in keeping him. The league now has Conte and Pep coming in, Klopp in this year, Poch and even the likes of Bilic around now too, plus the ever present Wenger in the background. Of the top managers capable of mixing it with those lot Jose is really one of the only ones who looks to be available we miss him now, even if LVG won the league next season he's still stated he intends to retire pretty soon.
I would think Jose is nailed on. Think we could see a different side to Jose. He's been angling for the United job since his Madrid days, and I think while the long term manager is a rare breed I think he certainly will want to build a 'team' so to speak.
