coursework has been over the word count

Hey, slightly worried - some of my coursework has been over word count.
Two of the pieces have been over by 200/300 words.
The teacher failed to spot this whilst marking it.
Will the exam board notice and Mark me down?
It depends on the margin allowed. My uni had a 10% policy where in a 2000 word essay you could go above or below by 200 words without having a penalty. It might be a problem if you were supposed to do 500 words but only your teacher will be able to confirm whether or not you will have a problem.

At my school, we looked at a full mark examplar where the girl went over the word limit by around 300.. But sometimes they can mark you down.. Around 100 over would have been best
It's normally +/- 10%.
Yeah it's likely that your uni has a 10% over or under allowance, so depending on the word allowance you might be okay.
