Medicine is highly paid and doctors earn more than most people ever will, even the insufferable ***** who post on this website. At the same time, given how hard med student works and how intelligent they generally are, if they were more money driven, they could easily work in more lucrative fields if that were their only motivation.

Fair points my friend, fair points. Except with the whole row about junior doctors and the fact that average consultant pay in the UK is behind quite a few countries of a similar status, I wouldn't really tout a medical career in the UK as being 'highly paid', elsewhere, definitely.

Even 60k per year is a lot.



I have a friend who was given a 70k luxury car before they could drive, I know very wealthy people exist, but hearing this chest-beating from people on TSR, some of whom haven't even graduated or in some cases finished their A levels, it just boggles my mind that people can be so delusional.
