Help. English GCSE

Just wondering if anyone could help give me some tips for time management in the AQA English language exam for questions and what I need to do to get an A*? I have ended up with multiple teachers this year and the one teaching us English language has been ill for a while (obviously not her fault) and we have had supply teachers so have not covered all of the questions. Did a mock the other week and ran out of time only writing like half a page for each question and leaving only 7 minutes to complete question 5.

Also, our English lit teacher has never taught the book we are studying before and has never taught higher tier. We have not done an English lit mock or seen any questions and we aren't doing one either, so any information you can provide about what they ask and how to answer would be much appreciated.
Sorry this is quite long I am just really stuck and with the exams approaching really fast and me still having no idea what will be on the exams I am panicking. Thanks in advance (btw both are AQA higher tier).
