Do you think your family might soften over the years? Mine would have probably disowned me half a decade ago but now most of them know and don't really care. Two of my sisters left as well.

Ah, I see. I hated the long hours last year and the fact that I was expected to fast those hours for reasons that I didn't believe in anymore (was on the verge of leaving Islam at the time). I would go to work and eat

To be fair it wasn't the Christians who fought against their religious rules, they just lost against secularists. Take a look at America and how there are still Bible bashers looking for ways to shove their religion down everyone's throats.
