They're always going to hate each other. The partition is necessary. Have you seen what goes down at cricket games?

We would not have this hate if this partition would not have occurred in the first place

this is your thread title.
I guess it was necessary as it was the best way to limit the bloodshed between Hindus and Muslims within India.

Who knew that partition would provoke more hate. :sigh:

The hate is the consequence of the partition, not the cause of it.

People who'd observed recent world events? Partition has almost never worked as a solution to sectarianism and tribalism.

Read a history book, there were disputes before the partition too

True but far more bloodshed occurred when they decided to do the partition. Because we were no longer one nation. :frown:

There was, the intense racial feelings and religious differences translated into sharp social differences causing conflict between Hindus and Muslims.

@Ethereal World more nationalism. I really am just making it abundantly clear at this point how sinister it actually is.

Yeah, but it was much worse after the partition I'm afraid. Pakistan was like the British Empire's final "**** you" to India.
I think the hostile rivalry is futile and unnecessary. Its just there because a large proportion of the population is stuck in archaic traditions and inflated patriotism.

Yeah I know it was a lot worse after the partition. But OP said there was no bloodshed before partition, when there clearly was. If they were all living happily together, then Pakistan and Bangladesh would have never been made.
