It's not particularly weird, I only use facebook for memes, stalking and LADbible clickbait nowadays so I can see how one would be able to do without.

There's a difference between the use of "poison" as a literalism and "poison" used non-literally. The latter is more emotive and derisive, whereas the former is merely a technical description.

No. I just use it to keep in contact with people, which you could do with phones. It's just a little easier having a public repository of contact information.
