If it was for something violent or abusive or they were currenty in and out of the system then definitely no. Other than that...I like to think I would try and be fair and understand their individual circumstances but I would most likely see it as a big negative

Probably not but it does depend on what he did and whether he has changed for good or not
Depends on the nature of the conviction, what the person says about the matter(whether they admit or deny it, whether they regret it if they admit it), their reasons if they admit it, the evidence against them if they don't, everything else about them.
Nope. I have trust issues so that would never work.

Sure. My ex is in prison for a white collar crime. I wouldn't mind getting back together when he comes out.
Nope!

My ex however has been to jail in the past but he didn't tell me about it. Wasn't until I saw the stab wound on his foot two months into the relationship and questioned him about it 😐😂

What sort of plebian stabs someone in the foot.
I honestly would not mind if that person was educated or gained education and proceeded to achieve a lot in life after their time in prison.

Then again I am Scandinavian so we have a progressive view on this. Our prisons/rehabilitation are of much higher standard and efficiency than the rest of the West, but UK is probably one of the worst examples. Resocialisation in the UK sucks, if you have been convicted of a crime your life is over. There's no such a thing as second chance and even if you try you are probably excluded from the mainstream society by attitudes such as those presented in this thread.

If it were for something like fraud or something money related then maybe, if it happened a long time ago but no if their crime was anything to do with assault, rape, paedophilia or murder.

99% of the guys I know of that has been to prision have been inside at least 2/3 times.

Yep. I know of a few people that have struggled to get their lives on track since being locked up. Some of which have been unable to get a job and have ended up going back to their old ways.
