How Can I stop liking people

Ok so I have fallen in love twice now, once in 09 and again this year, with two very different girls. But it seems like when I meet them, they mean nothing to me, but then we get close and I end up liking them. The first girl, we became enemies and the second girl I'll never see again.

How can I stop myself from liking them.
