I've had a quick look at last year's forum for TSP and they seemed to receive their location a few hours after their 'provisional offer' email - fingers crossed that is how they are doing it this year!
I got placed on the reserve list.. does anyone know from previous years what sort of chances we're realistically talking about being offered a place or being offered a HO/O position? And what time of the year youd find out? Id applied for belfast/edinburgh but i think im only really willing to go to edinburgh for the TSP job
@ferddy07 - Thank you for responding and congratulations again

Anyone heard back from the ATSP?

I don't think we'll get locations yet for the TSP because as far as I know the placement exercise isn't for a couple of weeks.

It went through to a reference form page, and now I e had an email about a criminal records check!
Provisional offer received. Bad luck to everyone who didn't get what they wanted - I got one of those emails yesterday for another programme, you have to keep plugging away.

For those with offers, do you think the following is the case?

Top 250 or so scored attendees receive offers - they are now working through them from the top down i.e. best attendees get first choice and so forth, so the further down that list you are you might get either your last choice, or should you have say only selected one which isn't available, be offered the dregs?

The wording of my offer says "I will be offered a place". Therefore, there are say 200 jobs available and so they make offers to the top 200 attendees.

If I only put down Bristol it doesn't say "you will be offered where you applied". It says place - therefore generic.

So I wonder if those who only put down one location, and have got an offer, are being a bit premature by assuming that means the offer is where they applied? Remember places are being offered on the basis of where you scored, not where you requested.

That's why there is a reserve list, so those people can be offered the places that may be turned down by others. So if you were attendees graded 199th and you were only offered Bristol, and you didn't want to go there, Mr. reserve placed 201st may receive a call offering him that place.

For me I applied everywhere but London... and I hate London so if I get offered that (unlikely) everyone else is welcome to it!
Has anyone else received the email about completing the disclosure application form? At the bottom it mentions you can request a 'disclosure scotland application'. If my preferred locations are in Scotland should I request one? Any advice would be appreciated!
Got an email about disclosure checks and nearly had a heart attack thinking it might be location info. Sounds like they are trying to make the process quicker than last year.
Well I think with locations we can assume it will be one of the locations we selected as we were told at my assessment centre that we would only be considered for locations we put down. This was said in the context that we should put down as many locations as possible but be careful to only choose places we would be willing to work in. I would therefore assume that at least something of a placement exercise has begun already to determine who has been given a provisional offer as, for example, someone who only put central London, scored within the top 200 but was fairly low down within this would be unlikely to have scored highly enough to get an offer for their chosen location. As has been said last year locations were out a few hours after so let's keep fingers crossed for that!

I think disclosure Scotland is just the type of DBS. I'm fairly certain that's the DBS check I did and I work in the south west.

Just wondering -the people who the next steps link worked for, were you internal? It didn't work for me and I am internal.

To confirm, Disclosure Scotland is just the name of the police service that carries out the checks, has nothing to do with location!

I just received an email saying the following. 'Please find attached a health declaration form for your completion. Please ensure you confirm the vacancy reference number on the form (CSR/2358/15). Once you have completed the health declaration, please send the form back to the following email address:'

There was no attachment with the email. Has anyone else got this problem?
I've had an email about DBS, and now one about a health declaration form which should be attached and isn't!
Im pretty sure it doesnt guarantee we'll be offered one of our preferred locations.

I agree with the above that those with provisional offers are the 200 best scoring candidates but if the prefferred locations is over subscribed ie, London and its your only choice i think they will ask again if you'd wish to be considered for other locations.

I get the impression that the status they put about provisional offers April/May will be when locations are offered.

So yeah more waiting :frown:
