I don't think that's true really
I mean most of the members you can barely tell whether they're guys or girls unless Instagram/Fb where everyone has a picture of themselves
Girls always get more attention.
I guess this just follows the trend.
Im a guy and don't get much attention (in life) but I've gotten more on here than I did in school and college combined which I'm happy with.

It isn't actually true, you get attention for being noticeable. Gender is actually fairly irrelevant.
