Which engineering shoud I do?

Hi everyone!
I've been in this dilemma for so long...
I simply can't choose which engineering I should do.
I just find all of them so interesting!
The first one I liked was Civil Engineering, but then I realized that I wanted something more...scientific? Like working in a lab or something.
Then I thought about Mechanical Eng and now I'm thinking about Chemical Engineering because I've been into creating cosmetics lately and working in a lab sounds so amazing.
BUT I also love creating things(which brings me back to mechanical).
Arghh, I just can't decide.
Help? Please? :frown:

Glad I'm not alone :five:

I haven't really gone out and got any engineering related work experience so it makes it even harder for me to decide.
What A-level subjects did you pick?
I chose Maths, Chem, Physics and Further Maths so when I decide to drop a subject by A2 I'm hoping I'll be fully informed by then of exactly which route I'd like to take
This will most likely mean me dropping further maths (for Chemical Engineering) or dropping Chemistry depending on if I want to go into Mechanical or Civil - this is just based on the requirements I've seen from some Unis.
As long as you are certain that you want to go into a form of engineering and your subject choices are sensible, I don't think it should matter too much about deciding exactly what you want to do now

I'm applying to a Dutch uni, so I don't really need to do Further Maths, I'll just do Maths, physics and chem but it will be the 1 year intensive course since I'm 20 :P
I guess I have until October to decide :ahhhhh:

Look into general engineering, which will give you a flavour of all of the disciplines before you have to specialise.

It's not a forum, it's a degree. Google "general engineering degree" to see the universities that offer it and their descriptions.

No matter which type of engineering you end up doing, don't drop further maths, it's even more important than the chemistry itself for Chem engineering.
