how can girls tell when you're checking them out in the gym?

I heard a girl talk about how she kept catching guys using the mirror to check her out. How exactly can you tell when guys are using mirrors in the gym to check you out? Do you have eyes on the back of your head or what?

The nature of mirrors allows the user to see what is behind them, and usually staring and drooling is a bit of a giveaway.
I think it's called peripheral vision.
it is a truth universally acknowledged that a young lady attired in clinging lycra™ shall be the object of ocular appreciation by all the young gentlemen in her vicinity.

Sweaty people and equipment

When a girl is wearing skin-tight clothes (so tight that you can see the outline of her underwear) and is doing squats only metres in front of you... You can't expect a guy not to look.
