We didn't play well I don't think. We only scored 1 goal against them and you can't really say that we peppered their goal with shots and had many chances, let alone good chances. Villa were also a whisker away from equalising.

It's these lower league teams we have difficulty forging chances against, and that really needs to be fixed for next season.

Nevertheless I'm pleased with the win, but man that was a dead game.

Aside from the last 10 minutes that was about an easy a game as we have played all season, 1-0 was likely to always be enough to win.

At this point in the season, when fixtures are beggining to really clog up, an uninspiring 1-0 where very little effort was expended is far from a bad result.
What are we going to do when LVG keeps his job lads?

Probably make a frustrated forum post about it.
United's minds were on the cup today

Not a bad lineup actually, glad to see a bit of rotation.

Remember we have a midweek game, so expect to see TFM and co back for that.

Thoughts on Memphis @KingKoala

@trapking how you doing m8

@difeo

I thought he had an alright game, probably should have scored at the end though. Wouldn't surprise me if he comes on in the FA cup next weekend.
You should have been filling your boots against this Villa side tbh.

It could end up significant from a GD perspective to be honest.
It's probably safe to say LVG gave his players an in-depth analysis of Villa rather than doing the Fergie team talk vs Spurs, would have been great if he'd walked into the dressing room and said: "lads it's Aston Villa". But maybe it's a tad too critical with the game mid-week, and the game again mid-week coming up and with the changes he made that the performance wasn't great but missed a chance to boost our goal difference. Made Villa look semi-decent in the second half.

love how liverpool fans are judging every other teams performance in their respective threads, after their once in a blue moon "comebacks"

If Rashford's conversion is 50% after a 50 game season, I'll quit TSR.

In a conversation about world's best players, Lord Bendtner wasn't involved.

That's the real joke here.
