Near Manchester, I've done this in plenty of cities though! Usually shops are just happy to get rid of excess food. Works for other fresh baked stuff.

Some places I know would rather through it out than give it away for free.

What texture are yall doughnuts? Is it very airy and fluffy and thick or is it just light and not very fluffy?
