I do have a feeling from last year, that offers started to be made randomly for different streams rather than all at once. But as someone mentioned we haven't even submitted location preferences yet. Also you would think at least someone would have had interview unsuccessful if they were being updated for real.

Especially if all biochem interviews have changed to complete.

i know! i think I'm just going to assume it means what it says - that we've done the interview and its logged in the system. would be nice to find out sooner than 9th may though wouldn't it!

Hi, Darren. I had an interview for Biochemistry initially and I was on shortlist reserve for Immunology, but was invited in for an interview later.

I have an undergrad degree in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Molecular Medicine. I actually don't have much experience in NHS setting apart from a placement in an immunology lab for a few months, lab tours and volunteering. I recently started working for a diagnostics company that works with immunoassay i.e. testing reagent kits, working with different platforms etc. so that must have helped my application.

My status for biochem has now also changed to interview complete. I have seen previous years around this time the statuses either change to complete or unsuccessful. I havent heard if anyones has changed to unsuccessful yet or if any will but i guess interview completed is not bad news at least.

My genomics interview has also updated to interview complete. Hoping that we would have heard from someone if they had been changed to offer made. Also would have thought someone would have said if it was interview successful, so I assume it is just an update to say we attended.

EDIT: Ah, just got the email from Oriel, they must have been getting loads of people contacting them!!

I just checked mine ant it says Interviewed unsuccessful. My heart sank, I only went to check to see if it was saying complete, thought they weren't actually telling us until 9th May :frown:

Well I think I know where I went wrong - I'm pretty terrible with interviews and my nerves got the better of me. I might consider paying though yes. I wish I had a plan B, since I've spent 2 years post graduation focussing on Genomic counselling :frown:

Oh wow, nobody was expecting to be notified of status so soon!!

Keep trying. Lots of people on here have been applying for a couple of years now - this is my second year. Don't feel too disheartened. x
