The location deadline has not passed yet, therefore no offers will be made yet, do not panic that interview complete means reserve at this stage! The very earliest we could possibly find out would be next week because of this.

That being said, last year, I was told I would find out w/c 6th April when I went to interview, and that was indeed the week that I found out. Timeline from last year was:
Interviews on 26th/27th March.
Location deadline on 2nd April.
Found out my result on 9th April.

I'd say there's a chance that those with earlier interviews will find out the outcome before 9th May (last yr, the earlier specliasms did find out earlier than the later ones)... but they definitely cannot give you an offer until after location deadline. But given that they said 9th May, and since they stuck to what they said last year, I wouldn't count on knowing earlier! (It does say initial offers on May 9th, after all).

So - don't panic!

I know exactly how you feel. My family keep insisting I don't know until the offers are out, but I've never screwed anything up as badly as my specialism station in that interview. I could barely answer a single question. I'm over it now anyway  I hope you're feeling okay now. There's always next year and there's also more to life than the STP! Everything will work out

Hi, did you get 'interview complete' for histo?

I read this is an Oriel document...

"Applications that have an interview management score greater than or equal tothe “Interview management score tolerance” will be updated to a status of“Interview complete."

Maybe that's the interview criteria on scoring a particular point for each station, but I'm not sure.
Interview complete means that you have not failed any of the interview stations (fail= if you score a 2 out of 5). It also means that you have scored highly enough to pass the minimum interview score required for an offer. Example: you could score 3 on all interview stations, this would mean you have passed each station, but not achieved a high enough score for them to consider sending you an offer - this is the other possible reason for seeing 'interview unsuccessful', as well as failing any of the 4 stations obviously.

If you have an interview complete status, your score is being compared against other interviewee's who have also passed all stations and the minimum threshold score. Highest interview scores = offers. If there is a situation where two interviewees has the same interview score, then they will look at shortlisting scores to settle the draw.

Hope this helps.

Hi mate, mine was at 11:15. looking back at it I might have scored a 0 or 1 in the values station for sure. How many questions did you get asked in the speciality station?

Haha it's so hard to remember the questions because of all the stress. I even managed to lose count of how many stations I'd been through...

I think I was asked about 4 on different topics? Though they did prod me with shorter questions during each.

I got the 'interview complete' email also. If you did too, it means you didn't fail any of the stations. So gj!

Yep, I'm exactly the same, have literally no idea what might come up for the cardiac station!!!!
Hello!
Does anyone know if the interviewers will have our Oriel Application Questions? Ie, is it worth talking about stuff we've already written about or is it more useful to talk about extra stuff?
Also, I've going up to Birmingham for my interview on the 27th, and my interview is 1.40, but my train isn't until 6pm so I'll be hanging around for a while after and probably looking for dinner. If anyone wants to hang out, let me know!
I'm going for the cardiology interview on Tuesday anyone else going to be there? I'm absolutely bricking it! I'm dreading the general science section. What's everyone revising for that?
Congrats to all who have got through week 2 of interviews  Just next week to go - good luck to anyone interviewing next week!

Don't forget to all set your location choices before Monday!
Could the questions for the general science section be anything from any of the specialism choices I.e genetics, ethical questions on IVF some medical physics etc?

I spoke to someone who took the interview and she said that it's really hard to 'revise' for the general science interview, but the most important thing to do is even if you have no clue to the answer of the question, you offer a few ideas and if possible say how you would go about testing an idea.
I'm bricking it too, but trying to stay positive!
Good luck!

Yes I did! If it means I passed the interview which is what people are saying then I can't quite believe it! Don't want to get my hopes up though!
How about you?

I assume 4 per group, so 12? That's a guess though
