the relationships and sex that she got into was reckless. are you being deliberately obtuse?
it wasn't a question, it was just a way for you to take the moral ****ing high ground. there are many different factors as to why people gamble and it's more of a complex issue than your tiny mind can comprehend.

Not obtuse, concise.

There you go again with the insults. Have I really rustled your jimmies so much that all logical debate has flown out the window and all you want to turn this into a **** flinging fight?

I was being perfectly clear, and you're just trying to wind me up. But I won't play your game anymore. The mods will deal with this mess in the morning. Thank you all for ruining my thread. I had hoped to encourage a balanced debate but all I'm getting is ignorant discriminatory comments, and those comments don't deserve a logical answer. I guess I should have expected it in a forum full of teenagers.

Very dissapointed in the level of narrow mindedness in here.

some people are promiscuous and I don't judge them. why are you judging people who are celibate? who is it really hurting?

First of all the concept mainly annoys me because they or society makes a huge deal out of it. Secondly most (but not all) are doing it because they feel guilty for having sex. This shouldn't be encouraged. In short if you keep it to yourself I don't care.

I suppose people who are outwardly gay must annoy you as well then. I'm sorry to hear that. Must be dreadful for you to live in a free society.

Society makes a huge deal out of sex, and that is what I'm trying to counter. So no I'm not keeping it to myself.

I've been on this site not even an hour and already someone is using strawman arguments against me.

I didn't ruin your thread, I challenged your ideas.

If you had hoped to encourage a balanced debate then you shouldn't have resorted to insults.

I too am very disappointed.

There are no known benefits to sex either. So why take the risk? Celibacy isnt stupid, it's a rational choice.

Well I am asexual and I can see lots of benefits to sex if done right (even though I don't want to do it myself).

Hey,
hope you don't mind me asking, are you planning to be celibate as in celibate for life or planning to chastise as in waiting until marriage?
Aw don't worry, at the end of the day though some users on here may disagree with you it doesn't matter. It's your own body

LOL!
imo saying sex isn't a basic need is like saying socialising & human contact isn't a basic need, for normal people.

because ofc you "won't die by not socialising"
but extreme isolation will warp your mind and drive you insane.
The issue with this woman isn't that she had sex, it was that she had unprotected sex and was too stupid to get an STD test and was then too stupid to get it fixed. Chlamydia can be cured with a quick run of antibiotics, why didn't she do it? It sounds like it progressing until she lost her womb was easily preventable and her own fault. Also, losing your money has nothing to do with sex. She doesn't sound particularly intelligent

I don't mind you asking. I'm going to be celibate for life. I think this is the right thing for me.

Not having sex does not **** you up. Plenty of people lead healthy happy lives without it.

You're right, OP. And if you are happy leading a celibate life, then that's great.

Your original post, however, seemed to be made in an attempt to argue that being celibate is somehow better for everybody than not being. For the vast majority of people, that simply isn't true.

I never said everyone had to be celibate. Just that it might be good for some people.
