learn a lot of vocab and test yourself also look at past papers and examiner reports.
there is a vocab website called vocab express

in this website scroll down and you will see alot of vocabulary and see the one u know and highlight the ones you are not familiar with.

Sorry that I didn't mention the exam board is edexcel!!
Learn your pronouncitation by watching films/series in french, it's a very good way of memorizing sounds quickly ^^

Bang juj a couple days before the exam.
Unless you're French, I don't see you getting an A* in French. That's just the way it's set up.

No I don't want an A* in French I want an A but for that to happen I need to get an A* in the reading. Plus I know loads of people who are NOT French yet still get A*'s.
Hey, I am doing the AQA board, but what helps me is to go through past papers and highlight words which I am not familiar with and then look them up in the dictionary. You'll notice that many of the words come up again and again.
Hope this helps.

P.S. Has anyone got any advice on how to ace listening papers because I'm not great at them.

I've gotten an A* in French before and I'm not the slightest bit French myself. Never even been to France.
Learn the rules of elision, for correct pronunciation, including the exceptions, like "les Halles."
