Revenge porn, victims as young as 11 years old

A year one since revenge porn became an offence, it has been revealed some victims are as young as 11, the article here also goes on to mention about victim blaming, thoughts on all these figures and comments?

Terrible crime.
(When I was 11 I was naive, now they are having sex on camera?)
It is sad how young people are being pressured to grow up. To think that 11 year olds are having sex is incredibly bad. At that age, I was enjoying my pokemon cards, but they are doing things far higher than their age.

Society needs to start changing this liberal agenda. Controls need to be put in place to allow kids to be kids rather than exposing them to such rubbish on the internet and communities.

What's the source that there has been an increase in this happening though? Your comment suggests it was different back when you were that age. 3 revenge porn cases from a 9 month period.. whilst bad.. does not sound alarmingly high or show any sort of trend.

Guess it also depends how many people come forward and report it.

It does, but thinking back 15 years ago when I was a young teenager at school.. it was well known people were still getting up to all sorts, taking low resolution photos of themselves etc. The only thing that has changed is the photos now get posted online instead of shared around the playground.

36% of victims were below 19 though.

Which, again, doesn't show any trend. Frankly I'm surprised the percentage isnt alot higher given how the technology for doing so is now more available.

Teenagers getting up to naughty stuff isnt new :wink: perhaps just the ways they're doing it have evolved.

Let us get into a back and forth.

My comment lamented on the pressure that young people have to grow up. I fortunately have young relatives that are about that age. One is just 11 and she is more exposed and aware of things that I was seemingly naive about at her age. The other is 12 and he is more mature than his age.

To me, I think it was different, when I was that age. Other people that I have spoken to, agree that young people are under more pressure than yesteryears. Fewer kids are on playgrounds due to many more reasons including sexual predatory. Kids are now diagnosed with mental health issues including anorexia, depression and others.
Our society has gone down the drain well and truly if 11 year olds are having sex at that tender young age; when I was 11 I was collecting dinosaur figurines and playing with Horrible Science sets and magazines and experiencing my first time on an aeroplane. Why don't the parents these days give a toss about their kids?
WTF are they doing getting nakey at 11? I guess I was that weird kid obsessed with GTA and CoD at 11...

People like to go into hysterics. They also like to remind everyone how much better it was "in their day" to feed their own ego because it gives them a sense of superiority. Like how old people constantly love to remind you about the good old days.
