The BBC mistranslated the poster. It is said "A-holes celebrate Germany".

The Antifa are anti-german movement.

How can people who are pro-islam think they're anti-facist?

How to fight fascism...?
Violently shut down your political opponents.
Oh, wait...I'm confused now.

True

Actually, anti-fascists seem to be thugs looking for a socially acceptable way to be violent

They do not even care about laws. The Antifa movement is very violent and there are even suggestions they might have support from high politics. The media in Germany (who are overmighly left-wing and political correct even more than in the UK) are sympathising with the Antifa. You could see this when the media labeling the AfD as "right-wing extremists" while the Antifa are "demonstrators" although the later are violent thugs while AfD not.
funny how everyone seems to be criticising the violence, regardless of what they are fighting for.

It's because some on the liberal far-left equate "Islam" with "Brown Foreigners" (an ironically racist position), which is why critics of Islam are often branded as racists by those who think that they are standing up for an oppressed minority.

Which is how we end up with the ridiculous situation of a university feminist group (at Goldsmiths) supporting the Islamic Society for disrupting a talk by a ex-Muslim woman on women's rights abuses in Islam!

You couldn't make it up!

Why is it funny to criticise violence? If more people condemned all violence unequivocally, the world would be a better place.

Yes, lets all be totally accepting of ISIS and accept people who hold inherently fascist views. Lets not fight back because violence is very wrong.

That was a fairly notable year when anti-fascists used violence to great effect against fascists. Surprised you haven't heard about it tbh.

Yeah, also the year these Soviet anti-fascists raped millions of women in Eastern Europe (including Russians, Polish, Germans, even those liberated from concentration camps, and pre-pubescent girls) and killed millions of civilians and prisoners of war.

Can you justify that violence?

Nope.

We are talking about politics, not military action.
Do you think that it is acceptable to use violence to prevent people from airing their political views?

and accept people who hold inherently fascist views.
Just because you don't assault someone who holds unacceptable political views, doesn't mean that you accept them.

Lets not fight back because violence is very wrong.
No. Let's not use violence to silence political opponents.

I guess you supported the invasion of Iraq then, as you support using violence against fascists.

Idiots do equate Muslim as being equal to being brown etc. These idiots tend to belong to groups like these so called fascists in OP. Hence the left needs to defend all brown looking people from fascist morons that don't even understand what they hate. A Muslim looking atheist has reason to fear neo-nazi skin heads.

Yet you all make a fuss when those on the left do single out the Jewish religion. Singling out all practising Muslims is the same as singling out practising Jews. It's the same kind of prejudice against a group of people. Hence why ant-fascists will fight fascists doing their fascists thing against Muslims.

I also bet that ex-Muslim is of the left. The left is not a homogeneous group and censoring regressive left feminists do not make it up in its entirety.

So we should appease fascists? Were we wrong to get violent with Mr Hitler? Maybe we should be appeasing the Islamo-fascist ISIS to?

Ah, I get it now. The reason why I was confused because we were talking about shutting down political opposition, not military conflict with another soverign state.
However, if we had been, your point would have been excellent.

Indeed, singling out individuals or groups of individuals for discrimination on the basis of faith or politics is wrong.

However, criticising the ideology held by those individuals or groups is not.

It's a shame that so meny people just can't seem to get their head around the concept.

For example: Saying that the actions of the IDF, in the context of Israeli settlement policy, is disgusting, is perfectly acceptable.
Saying that Israeli Jews are disgusting is not.

Saying that Islam encourages violence and intolerance is perfectly acceptable.
Saying that Muslims are violent and intolerant is not.

I also bet that ex-Muslim is of the left.
The point being?
