Can always count on Belichick drafting some reaches haha.
Did the Bucs seriously just pick a kicker in the second round whilst trading up for it too? WTF lol

Yes and it wasn't even a small trade up. It was crazy. BB will probably turn the reaches into really useful guys in 2-3 seasons though. He's a nightmare for hitting draft and develop sort of guys.

Not sure about that, he seems to have some drinkers with the 2nd and 3rd round picks. I only liked 1 1/2 of the picks they made yesterday. Not sold on Jones really.

Yup Big trade up.That said. Roberto Aguayo is the best kicker ever to come out of FSU. And they specialise in developing kickers.

The teams Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida State can field now...oh my goodness. I know FSU can field a whole team of stars in the NFL...Alabama might be short a long snapper or something.

Alabama's team:
LWR: Julio Jones, Kevin Norwood.
LT: DJ Fluker, Austin Shepard,
LG: Evan Mathis,Cyrus Kouandjio
C: Ryan Kelly*, Barrett Jones
RG: James Carpenter, Chance Warmack
RT: Andre Smith, Arie Kouandjio
TE: Michael Williams; (Brian Vogler)
RWR; Amari Cooper, DeAndrew White
QB: AJ McCarron, (Jake Coker*)
FB; Jalston Fowler
RB: Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry*, Eddie Lacy, TJ Yeldon, Kenyan Drake*, Trent Richardson

LDE: A'Shawn Robinson*, Wallace Gillberry
NT: Marcell Dareus, Quinton Dial
RDE; Jarran Reed*, Jeoffrey Pagan
SOLB: Courtney Upshaw
SILB: Reggie Ragland, (Trey DePriest), (Xzavier Dickson)
WILB: CJ Mosley, Rolando McClain
WOLB: D'onta Hightower, DeMeco Ryans
LCB: Dre Kirkpatrick, Dee Miliner
SS: Landon Collins, Mark Barron, (Roman Harper)
FS: Ha-Ha Clinton Dix, Rashad Johnson, Nick Perry
RCB: Kareem Jackson; Cyrus Jones*, Javier Arenas

K. (Jeremy Shelley)
KO. (Cade Foster)
P/H: (Cody Mandell)
LS: Carson Tinker
RS: Kenyan Drake*, Cyrus Jones*

Roll. Damn. Tide.
Not that I would have done that or anything close to that, but the value of kickers has also gone up with the new PAT rules.

Yeah people always seem to forget that BB is not that much better at drafting than anyone else. He never does anything completely moronic like taking the 4th best available QB on his board (which is apparently what the Browns did when they got Manziel), but he has his share of misses.

Ozzie Newsome is/was King of the Draft. He hasn't been that happy with his last two but before that he was basically the draft whisperer. I think they did solid work this year, if that trade up with Dallas for Ramsey had have come off it would have been better.

Boehringer territory now. Does he go or not? I think he definitely gets on a 90 as an UDFA if not. Hahahaha Picked 180th by the Vikes after Mike Mayock was on the phone to Mike Zimmer about half an hour ago. That is brilliant!

I've been pondering over THE pick all day. Essentially we gave nothing up for it. We got our guy in the 1st so that 4th was canon fodder really. Essentially we took a kicker with our 3rd Round pick. I was kind of mad at first, but the more I think about it.. No one has been going crazy about the teams taking QBs in the 3Rd and 4th. These guys might never even see a snap in the nfl. This guy has the best kicking stacks in college history. Now I'm not too mad.

Haha I had NFLN on during the phone call thing, that's hilarious that Zimmer actually got him.

Yeah I'm the same. NFLN has been worth it's offseason cost for these past 3 days alone! It's hilarious and obviously Sky only covers Day 1. That Tennessee joke had me giggling too. I'd quite like a O-lineman for the Jags now. We seem to have Defensive Line for days. The LEO shortage now has 1 first round pick in Fowler, that DPR Ngakoue in the 3rd and a small school, high production guy Tyrone Holmes in the early 6th. Sheldon Day at DT in the 4th is a guy who got PFF ratings and a decent amount of buzz. Just get me a center so Linder can stay at RG where he's been very good.

Your logic with the 4th doesn't really make sense. A 4th round pick, or any pick in general, represents a certain % chance of drafting a star. Maybe you gave up nothing, maybe you gave up Geno Atkins, Brandon Marshall, Julien Edelman or Richard Sherman, and maybe you gave up something in between. That percentage chance can be quantified to some extent, and that value is what you actually gave up.

The quarterbacks teams have taken have a % chance of completely turning around the franchise. If your kicker is all world for 15 years that won't happen.

Taking a kicker for a 3rd and a 4th is defensible if you feel terrible about this draft class in general and great about your current roster.

Brandon Allen? Anyone know anything? They needed a 3rd QB so I get it but I still think there is an interior line issue unless Joeckel projects inside or you're backing Bowanko's progression over last season when he was a backup.

#StumpTheTruck was absolutely unbelievable. Poor Tenn. Some of those names were absolutely crazy.

AAAAAND the Jags have D-Line for days. They are not having the same 3rd down issues as last year.

Sometimes I wonder if Patriots just fling **** at a dart board and hope it sticks. Some truly weird picks.

I think there are traits that they evaluate totally differently from other people. Like they must just have 100% different criteria for what a person needs to make it in the NFL. IDK.

For sure lol cause to everyone else it seems like they reached. Not a fan of the Guard they picked, and the LB. Although the LB does have crazy measurable so who knows

Really like what the Jags have done this draft though. Also would like to pick up Keith Marshall from UDFA, really thought someone would take a flier on that speed.
And cowboys draft someone that hasn't played football since middle school??? Am I being trolled right now, what is life?

I think the Cowboys have the most boom/bust draft of anyone this year. Jerry went hard at guys with bags of upside but there are plenty of issues thrown in.

But when you put into context how bad our special teams have been for the last 4 years and the fact that more players named as starters in 2014 were undrafted than drafted in the 3Rd Round Im not too mad. We addressed other needs. Could have done with some more help at safety but oh well.

Yea, until you realise he's a 6ft8, 275lbs TE conversion prospect, with outstanding athleticism. We're talking LeBron James size/speed/weight triangular numbers here.

Witten has a few more years, and Escobar is serviceable as TE2. For what it's worth, Antonio Gates didn't play Football in college either, and well he went from being a stud power forward to being in the GOTY conversation. Now, he's a developmental guy, but he's got a heck of mentor in Witten, and Dez Bryant should be able to help with routerunning too. He should be able to stretch the seam nicely.

I saw it for free on the NFL website. The downside is you get Bucky rather Mike Mayock. Jags had a good draft, That's probably one of the best defenses in the league, if it can be shown that Paul Posluzsny hasn't regressed too much.
