Sorry OP I read the title wrong.

I can tell you from personal experience what my exes did. He would skip school the days I had classes then return when I wasn't there. So they avoid you.

Another one sent emails and texts over and over.

One hated me even more when I tried to talk to him. So the best thing to do is ignore and move on.

Lol at laughing then sayin it's not funny. Well an argument just escalated and I wasn't hearing her out I suppose so she went for a knife. She didn't actually end up wielding it or anythin I stopped her before she could properly hold it. And she told me to kill my mum because at the time we were of a certain age where angst could get the better of you. She eventually got preggers by some black guy and moved to Newcastle though :\ lol

Me personally..

I tend to be pretty emotionless about it, then after after a while it starts to sink in at which point I get miserable and depressed a little, cry for half an hour or so, then after a few weeks I tend to forget about it. Well it's what happened with the last 2 anyway. Which they weren't long.

But a break up after a reasonably long time (1+ years), drives me insane! I must've spent around 3 hours sobbing my eyes out.

It varies from guy to guy.

Some guys sleep around.
Some guys get emotional.
Some guys get overly emotional.
Some guys accept it for what it is.
Some guys put their effort into other aspects of their lives.

For me, it was a combination of all but sleeping around.
