Locus, or it might be in plural in your textbook: loci.

Where it says, 'nearer to AB than to AD', I think they expected you to draw an angle bisector. :dontknow::

Yes, it does.
From angle DAB, you use a compass to any length and draw 1 line on AB and 1 line on DA, then from these points, you draw 2 more loci that cross, and draw a line straight from the corner through these points, we've just gone over this in lesson today
