Also anyone know how we get access to feedback????

I emailed the National School and they gave me further details on how to get my feedback last year.I sent them a cheque and they posted it out to me within a couple of weeks.

It wasn't the most detailed of feedback last year but might be better this year as it was all submitted on iPads. In my opinion, it was very useful to have anyway - just in case there is something you can definitely work on, especially if you are determined to apply again the next year. You might even be surprised at how well you've scored in some areas.

I was counting the awkwardness, and interviewers prompting me was making feel like everything I was saying was just wrong  I think the specialism one was my worst, not what I was expecting at all. Oh well it was my first attempt, I'm not optimistic

Just got the 'interview completed' update

Hey lavi, it's BME sarah!! :h:

Well done on getting interview (complete), I got one too, yeay!

Sorry to hear that! You still did so well to even get to interview!

Do you think you're going to try again next year?

No I probably won't try again next year, I think I'll find a masters to do instead.

Hey, just wondering where is everyone's first couple of choices? Do we have many southerners? Northerners? (Passing the waiting time!)

Oh no :frown: what was that for? Such a shame after all the effort put in, but it is so competitive to get to this stage so you've done really well by just doing that. Must have some great chunks of text to use in future applications too.

It was for gastrointestinal physiology and tbh it couldn't have came at a better time I have an exam tomorrow as well. Absolutely gutted :frown:

I'm a Londoner! I prioritised my locations by CQC report scores for the hospitals, then by location depending on whether it's a big-ish city (I don't want to be somwhere really quiet!) and where I think I could see myself living. My top locations are nearly all Southern with London my top choices unless a Northern hospital has scored better! Cardiac: my top choices are London (G&T, Royal Brompton), Papworth and Liverpool. Vascular my top choices are London (Imperial, Kings), Bristol and Oxford.

How about you?

Sounds good! I'm northern, so I have Sheffield, Leeds and Yorkshire as my top ones (cardiac). I think I would be open to anywhere if I got a southern place, I'd be chuffed if I even got a place anywhere to be honest.
I'm a northerner so all mine were mainly up north with the odd one down south. London last :P.

I can't wait to find out either way, I'm losing my mind!
I'm also a northerner so Derby is my first choice for vascular!

Haha yeah I think a lot of people might have put London last because it's so expensive!! But most of my friends are here and my running club are here, so I kind of want to stay! I'd still be really excited to move to some of the other places if I got a place though.
Also Northern, but my choices are actually kind of scattered all over the place! Again London trusts are the only ones I've put as no preference. I had heard these were the most competitive, but judging by the (albeit very small number of) responses on here that could be wrong!!

Heey well done, nice to see someone I know around here! Didn't know you applied for the England scheme! Did you apply for Med Phys too ?
I'm from the Midlands so Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham were near the top of my choices London and the South being towards the bottom.

I'm originally from London, my top choices are London, Surrey, Kent and Luton. A bit tougher for Immunology as there are only four spots scattered around England. Happy to move to wherever though if I get a spot
I'm from the North, so also went for Northern ones. Hoping I have more chance to get a Northern one since the med phys uni is in London.
Hi all!

Anyone heard back about 'interview complete/unsuccessful' from gastrointestinal?

Mine still says booked but I'm hoping it's just cos I was put on last minute from the reserve list!

Well done to all who passed so far !
