IB Physics HL May 2016 exam

So I just took the Physics exam today and it completely ruined all of my college offers. Does anyone know what I can do from here? Should I retake them in November or just move on with my life and attend university somewhere else?

Holy hell wtf was that **** four of my classmates started crying after the exam

Our only hope is that the boundaries will probably be suuper low this year

My whole class buggered it. Hopefully the boundaries are low but knowing the IB.....
It is your choice, I would personally attend uni elsewhere.

OMG! My daughter came home in tears...she is predicted a 7, physics being her strongest subject, and she doesn't even think she has scraped a 4 !!! She has an offer from Oxford, St Ann's, so that's been blown out of the water :-(, and maybe even her other offers, Imperial, Exeter, etc
.. all asked for 3 x 6 at HL....Worst mistake I ever made was putting her in a school that did the IB. Can only hope that they lower the grade boundaries. If the worst comes to the worst, we have decided to pull her out of school and not retake the IB, but send her to a college that specialises in A-levels in a year, with the IB background it should be a breeze to get A*s at A level. I suggest that you look in to it too...take it as a year-out. Don't be disheartened. Wishing you good luck.

That specimen paper was uuuselesss!! That was definitely one of the hardest physics paper I've seen :/ But at least everyone feels the same

don't worry guys even my school in England were shattered after this. We all went to the oxford review courses and it was horrendous. That paper 2 was disastrous

Signed. If the grade boundaries don't drop significantly, then the IBO is deserving of no respect in my, or many others', eyes. It is hugely unjust and unfair to toy with our futures like this.

You can take a deep breath!!! I found a change.org petition online for this test (linked below), it would be great if you could ask your daughter to share it around, it still needs more signatures to be considered... Thanks!! Also, I hope you and your daughter can take comfort in the fact that if everybody has a low grade in physics, it evens out. Congratulations for her acceptance to Oxford that is truly impressive! I was about to post the link to the petition (Everyone pls sign it :smile:

) I do SL and honestly yesterday was the worst exam paper I've ever taken in my life, I almost cried midway through the paper. The paper was nothing like ANY of the past papers or the useless specimen, but hopefully with 8000 signatures already the IB will take this into account and lower the grade boundaries

I actually didn't find paper 3 that bad (last shot at redemption for failing p1 + p2 :P )
I did option D
