Okay so I'm doing my AS Levels but reading your updates here always really inspire me to revise, so thank you  Good luck with your exams too, when do they start? (sorry if you've already said, I haven't read every single post - 124 pages is a lot! or if you've mentioned it somewhere obvious, I'm not observant haha)

Hey thanks - never thought it would be as useful as it has been for motivating others - my first one is on the 18th May (ICT) so not long to go.

Thank you  And good luck for your AS Levels

School bits:
Hi Everyone,

I'm in year 11 so I will be sitting my GCSEs in less than 20 days (eek). I also had mocks on the 22nd Feb so keeping this thread made sure I kept up with my revision. At the moment my targets and grades are:

(WJEC) English Language: A*
(WJEC) English Literature: A*
(Edexcel) Maths: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Biology: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Chemistry: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Physics: A*
(AQA) German: A*
(OCR Modern) History: A*
(AQA) Geography: A*
(OCR National) ICT: A*

Some of you may look at this and wonder how I can improve, but I set really high standards and in some of my mocks I have been getting 84/85 and scores like that, so I am working towards getting as high a mark as possible, and not just securing the grade.

Hopefully, if I can get the grades, I want to go on to college and study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Geology.

Personal bits:
If you want a bit of background I've always been quite good academically (though I genuinely hate to admit it) but I believe it is down to the fact that I have severe Atopic Eczema (that the specialist said was the worst in 30 years) and because of this, I have found studying to be a worthy distraction. I also can't see out of my left eye which makes life interesting but I like it that way. If I can work hard enough, and get into University, I will be the first person in my family to do so, and considering my parents have barely any qualifications, this is definitely something I aspire to.

A few last words:
I am open to any advice or constructive criticism and I am happy to help anyone too.

If you want to find out more about me as a person I would be happy to post info and along the way, I will be detailing revision I have done, so if you would like to see pictures of it just let me know and I'll be happy to upload

Also, recently, people have asked if they can post their revision on here too so it can help motivate everyone and we can help each other along - feel free to join in

Mocks (22nd Feb)

It really is useful for motivation! Although I think I left my revision way too late and so I've been desperately trying to cram in as much as a I can these past few weeks!!

Oh not long to go at all! My exams start on the 16th and end on the 25th - 6 exams within 9 days! :frown: When do yours end?

Thanks for wishing me luck!!
This thread is actually great !! Not even lying
You guys updating makes me motivated
Who came up with this idea it is fabtastic  ?
Good luck for your upcoming exams peeps
Today I've done absolutely nothing as I've been in town all day buying gifts for teachers (bought some lovely stuff I really hope they like them )
The weather's been so good! 24°C!!!
I also saw my old chem teacher in wilkos which was a bit surprising...

So my question to you is...are you buying any teachers gifts? And if so which teachers and what gifts?

You must have so much content at As level!! ANd 9 days is such a short space of time, soI respect you for that  Mine end on the 22nd June so I have about 19 exams over 6 weeks which is less compact as you

Indeed it has - and it's such a nice gesture

I will be getting gifts for my tceahers, but I haven't decided what yet (I know, I'm running out of time) but I was considering hand-making everything so I could personalise it but that may take a while  I'll let you know when I have decided

Aww that's so sweet
I left it really late as today was the last weekend before I leave! But I got stuff for the 4 teachers I'm giving gifts to (slight favouritism oops ) but I'll be buying thank you cards and writing nice personalised messages inside them for all of them
I got my lovely English teacher 2 little books, one containing world war 1 poetry and the other containing Shakespearean insults  and also a canvas with a Banksy painting on it because he loves his artwork and has multiple posters in his classroom
Got my not so lovely maths teacher a box of chocolates and a huge rubber that says 'for big mistakes' as he's well known for making 'human errors' (silly mistakes)
For my PE teacher I got a book on cycling as she loves it
And finally for my German teacher I literally couldn't think of anything (she's very closed) so I just got some Yankee candles and a little holder for them

My friends getting my other maths teacher this 😂

3 more exams tomorrow! Can't believe I already had 5 this past week, and that I have 17 more to go. Glad it's not that bad though since tomorrow's exams should be pretty chill

Leave A* road and divert to the nearest side road. The first road on the left is the best option, A Street.

When I get round to being at the end of year 11, I will probably write thank-you cards to the teachers whom I really think have made me succeed.

Hey,
What are you guys planning to do the day before your exam- in detail ? CURIOUS

Well, I'll probably first make sure that I should be proud of myself and not be worried. Then probably look over things I've learned, not anything to much, and then probably eat something sweet. For some reason, eating something sweet always calms me down!

Same situation for me yesterday! I already bought a perfume for my science teacher who has helped me a lot and taught me since year 7. I'm planning to buy a book for my English teacher and a book for my history teacher. I would probably give most of my teachers a thank you card too except for my ICT teacher.

Update 08/05/2916
Well, I wanted to be productive today but unfortunately, I woke up at 12pm when I wanted to wake up at 7am. I guess I did something...

English literature- recapped Anita and Me and did a past essay question. I also looked over my mock exam and looked for any weaknesses
English language- revised how to write review and analysed and read reviews. Did a past a per question on it
ICT- I somehow spent a lot of time revising topic 6(issues) today. For some reason, revising for ICT is longer than revising for any other subjects. I also did a past paper and somehow, again, managed an A*. Hopefully, the grade boundaries will stay low this year!
