F*** F*** F*** F***. Well my dreams are pretty shattered now, no offer coming from genomics :frown:

p.s. honestly though congrats to all those you have/will receive offers

When I did work some work experience one of the STPs was saying that she got in off the reserve list in August! Would be a horrible wait but all is never lost. Also there may well be a few spaces floating around in June/July if final year students don't get their 2.1s

Aww congratulations! That's fantastic!

I had my heart set on St.George's for Biochemistry, but was unsuccessful! Well done to you

Hopefully hear something for Immunology soon

i actually have no idea how this happened. i felt like the interview was 50/50 really but would never have thought i did well enough to get my first choice!

fingers crossed for you for immunology!

Congrats!! I've been offered Bioinformatics (Genomics) in Oxford. Can i ask what was your first choice?
Reserve for med phys :/ I just want the waiting to be over
I emailed them and they said that the scores should be coming out soon on Oriel - this will give us reservers a much better picture of what chance we stand I hope!

Everyone's scores? Wouldn't have though this would happen until all offers are made.

Genomic counselling anyone?! Our interview was in the first week... Seems relatively random by specialism to me...could they be releasing results alphabetically?
Last year we didn't get scores until like June / July I think and they couldn't tell us our position on the reserve list. Maybe they've decided to change it this year!

Gah, half way through the second week, so close yet so far!!

Got my first choice (Leeds) for Resp/Sleep. Thought there was no way in hell the interview had gone that well.

Nothing yet! Currently sitting in my lab as everyone around me is getting offers. This is downright cruel!

Congratulations! Im Med Phy reserve  will have to wait it out a bit longer.
If you dont mind me asking, what location?

Northern training consortium (so North East - Newcastle/Durham/Darlington) - I'm at Durham Uni and love the area so it was perfect for me, but also I guessed it probably wasn't going to be the most popular location anyway which made it seem like a sensible option too!

For those receiving offers, how did you think your interview went at the time?

I feel like I'm probably going to end up on the reserve list. Performed OK but certainly not to the best of my ability. Just interested to know if anyone came out thinking they did badly and have ended up getting an offer, or vice versa.

I though mine went well, although during it I was convinced I had completely failed. I then talked to people afterwards and decided I'd done ok, and then in retrospect decided I'd done well. I could answer all the questions and was confident I think - best of luck!

(Also if it helps I'm vaguely convinced I got a terrible mark on the online maths test, so don't worry too much if you're convinced a certain part went wrong - you may have done better than you thought!)
