Congratulations! I'm based at the QE, and Optimist.Prime is at Sandwell (and I'm sure Heartlands' current first year is on here too but I can't remember her username), so we might see you around if you end up on the Birmingham MSc course

That sounds lovely! I'm still in shock though from the offer haha!

Thank you! I'm so overwhelmed and over the moon! Such an exciting time!!
Accepted an offer from Addenbrookes for Genomics! Over the moon
Did anyone else get an offer for Audiology in North Wales? I think there's two of us
Anyone here got Genomics at Sheffield?
I will be the other trainee there - am absolutely over the moon as this was my first choice, I cannot believe it!!! On top of the world    I have visited the department a few times and it seems fantastic, on top of that I can commute which means I won't need to sell my house!

For everyone that didn't get through, my condolences - I know how you feel, last year I failed to get in and was gutted. I think a lot of people try multiple times - come back next year with your experience and ace it!

For those on reserve - I've been told I had until midday Weds to accept/hold my offer. So I imagine a few more offers will come out on Weds when offers expire/get declined - keep a look out!

Is anyone else an In Service applicant? I applied for Medical Physics in service, and still waiting to hear on an offer. I was hoping I'd find out sooner as I'm not in competition with anyone for a place, but apparently I'm having to wait as long as everyone else! This wait is killing me!!!

I'm an in-service applicant for reproductive science and haven't heard anything yet either! I guess we might be at the end of the list?

Fingers crossed we hear something soon!
Vascular offers not being released until Wednesday!!! :frown::frown: I think i'll have lost the plot by then!!

An em,ail to say that this morning would have been appreciated!

Just got an email! Still no news on Cardiac though... it's getting late!
Hello All, I got reserve for Clinical Engineering. Does anyone know if there is any way to know your number on the waiting list? Wish I knew if there is some one from last year who was offered from reserve. I know it would totally be dependent on people having offers. But still, just trying to figure out if I should still have hope.
I'm on reserve list for medical physics..too bad but there is still hope! A question for the other applicants of med phys, to people who applied last year and maybe to someone who is working for NHS: what did/would you do to follow the path of medical physics and maybe wait for the STP next year? Where can you get some experience in this field or in a related one? Anyway congratulations to everyone who got an offer!!! Best of luck for who is still waiting!

Thank you  In terms of experience I'm still at the same job I was last time I applied - what I did between last year and this one was -
- organised visits myself to departments - this let me see a lot more than you see on just an open day and also got me some useful contacts
- went all-out revising for the interview - took 2 weeks annual leave to prep
- focused a lot on the 'tell me about a time you did this' type q's on my prep. Last year I revised the specialism stuff a lot but overlooked how much time I should invest in thinking of examples that show me in a good light beforehand
- at interview they don't know your form/work experience - so in my answers I made sure to mention "When I organised my own visit to the department..." or "During my current job as lab manager..." so they knew my experience

Good luck if you re-apply next year, it can be done!! I did terribly the first year at interview and never dreamed I would make it this year.

By visits to department's do you mean just work experience in labs or actually working there? If just work experience how did you orgainse it?
Also are there any example 'tell me about a time you did this' questions?
Thank you for all your advice really useful ill keep it in mind for next time. And thank you i really hope so haha.
Congrats to anyone who got a job!! Did everyone get the same start date of 01/09/2016?

Hey, same here I got reserve for clinical engineering too. I heard that last year for clinical engineering just 1 person from the reserve list got moved up to an actual offer. I hope they release the rank list soon!
