I don't think that this kind of thing is likely to happen for any other specialism. I think for those of us who received the email, unsuccessful can basically be taken to mean not getting an offer this year.

I know, I'm so happy now, but going through the unsuccessful and reserve list for another scheme really was not fun

I can imagine must have been horrible atleast youv got it now, im on the reserve doubt that will be changing any time soon

With you on this one brother/sister XD
Did anybody get an email saying 'Application Withdrawn' when they accepted followed by a 'Offer Accepted' email immediately after? I presume it might be because I applied for Clinical Immunology and got unsuccessful from the application process in the first place but if anyone else could shed some light?

Previous postings in this thread seem to indicate that others also got this and thought that it was likely to be from the other specialism that they applied for. Bit confusing (and potentially worrying) though I think.

yeah i got an "application withdraw" email too - I think mine was for the genomics interview reserve place I still had.

I think its just their way of removing the other specialism you applied for.

congrats on your offer
What discpline did you get an offer for?
also does anybody know what happens after youve accepted?

Does anyone know how to opt out of upgrading (received a better place than I expected that I am happy with) or to edit our preferences after accepting with upgrades?

Under the my applications tab, click on view application summary and then upgrade preferences; deselecting everything should stop upgrades

I was very fortunate to be offered 2 positions this year, I have declined Bioinformatics (Genomics) so hopefully some lucky person will be hearing soon about that if you were reserve. I hope this helps someone
