Anonymous apps - How do we feel about them?

Recently there's been a bit of a surge in apps such as Yik Yak and Ekho, which essentially allow anonymous posting and are used among university students.

Over the weekend I saw bullying, homophobia and widespread nudity (not a prude!).

How do we all feel about them?

We use it during our lectures, and then about 2 weeks ago, my accounting and finance lecturer revealed that each week he has it on his phone open, and he told us some of the funniest yaks that he's seen during our lectures xD

His favourite was when most people were yakking stuff about how he was better than our previous finance lecturer xD
