In your opinion, what is the best and most effective way for revising science?

In your opinion, what is the best and most effective way for revising science?
Concentrate on weak topics, write the notes out for it (with potential 4-6 markers in mind) and then condense the material onto a flashcard which you can use to revisit the content at any time up until the very last minute.
(I need to do this for Tuesday's Biology exam, done it for Chemistry already - although that is on Thursday!)
I have just been trying to cover all the topics, should I attempt some past papers to see my weaknesses and then make flashcards of only these mistakes?
