Hi! The answers to those are 1. French horn 2. Allegro 3. Sequence 4. Concerto

What were the options for 3 again? Sequence, pentatonic and what? I can't remember if I picked sequence or the third one

It was a descant, which is to do with voices usually (the higher countermelody)
Also, for the question about the song "When I was five my brother stole my lollipop" I'm pretty certain the answer was bass and syllabic?

Bass, Tenor, Soprano then syllabic or meismatic

For the two answer and explain it was 1. Jig and compound time 2. Latin American and use of percussion or you could specify castanets or drums
There was a bothy ballad and the answer following that was strophic.
The written question you needed to put 3/4 andante or adagio, v above bar 9, chord of f major, and just a descending sequence for the notes.

Thank goodness it's a jig my main pressure of nat 5 music was to tell the differemce between a jig and a reel and people in my year were saying and justifying why it was a reel Thanks for letting me know  Also for the latin american one I mentioned the instruments but just to add something etra I said something about syncopation because that's usually in alot of latin music and samba do you think it's ok I said that?

I'm so gutted i thought it was reel

What did you get for the question that asked about what the large orchestral piece was. It was the one that you had to fill the blanks in the sentences for tonality etc

Aw no I picked that :frown: (Only because I didn't know what it meant!)

Does anybody have a note of all the answers they could post here?

Also I gave more than one reason for Latin American, is that okay or will I lose the mark? And for Jig I just said 3 beats in a bar (idk if it's right!), will I get a mark?

c) Simple
d) Glissando?

3a) Andante/Adagio
b) 3/4
c) Bar 9
d) Tone/Second
e) F

4a) Aria

Unsure about the order I've put these in (Q4 parts), the order is almost certainly wrong but the answers are right.

c) Sequence
d) Concerto

6) major+ arco+ symphony

7a) Jig
b) Compound time, light + bouncy, variety of other answers
c) Latin American
d) Bongo drums + other percussion instruments + syncopation + Spanish/Portuguese words + variety of other answers

8) Celtic Rock

Rhythm/Tempo: Adagio/Andante + 2/4 beats a bar + simple/compound time
Melody/harmony: Soloist Bagpipe + Grace notes + Accidentals
Instruments/voices: Piano + Guitar then Drum Fill leading to entry of Drum Kit and Bagpipe
Dynamics: mf to f after drum fill; crescendo

Again, variety of valid answers here.
