Do you mean concetration calcualtions?
In our school we got taught NCV...

Yeah it's the same thing I'm assuming n stands for number? P just stands for power meaning basically how many h+ or oh- ions there are.

Oh well in that case, yes. They always have a titration question.

I don't use PVC lol.

Oh I understand now.

Give us an example and I'll show you what to do.

Here's an example

Wait what is PVC ?
I have never used that formula in chemistry at all..

That's just using the mole triangles and molar ratio? I'll try and find one that I mean

Don't worry.

It's just another formula for volumetric titrations.

It's another way of saying C1V1H+ = C2V2OH-

Do you guys think there are any experiements that we need to know inside out for the exams ?

I've got these down already...

+ Haber Process
+ Ostwald Process
+ Titration experiment
+ Energy released experiment ( Eh=cmDeltaT)

Do you know any other that we should know ?

Percentage composition is also important...
Percentage composition is 3 easy marks!

Thanks for that Jay!

What's that ?

Is it when it asks you for a percentage of an element in a compound ?

So

%Element = Gfm/Total Gfm x 100
Just out of curiosity did anyone else here sit national 5 maths, and if so do you think you will be scoring lower than your target grade on the 9th of August??

Yeah they're amazingly easy questions

Most Definitely, I will definitely not be achieving my target grade :frown:

Yeah me too😔 I was a predicted A but I'm barely clinging on to a low b from my rough calculation...
