Oh, sorry, i didn't read properly like the potato i am ;-;

it's fine  i just hope i did well enough an A*.
what did you say for the 5 marker on what method of study you would use in relation to sexism in schools and why it was better than another type
During the education section of todays unit 1 gcse I realised I'd written EMA for a policy for people with disadvantaged backgrounds, I then got to the next question which was about schools improving social mobility. I didn't even realise I'd written the same answer question. Can I be penalised for this??? The EMA was a relevant answer for both questions.

I don't know if our teacher is smoking weed or something, but C is usually about half the marks together from both papers. My teacher even told me that, and he is very good at teaching sociology. It may be high though this year, because they base it on the how everyone in the country did (idk if just country)

Yeah a C should be around half the marks 40/45 on each paper but like you said it changes depending on how well others do around the country, and since a lot of people considered this an easy paper, I would only assume that the grade boundaries will be high.

A* 77
A 68
B 59-63
C 47- 51

Also, it depends on how well the people found UNIT 2.

P.s. it's out of 180 so an A* IS AROUND 145-150

Don't you add the grades for both tests?

e.g.
Last year for an example
UNIT1: A*70
UNIT2: A* 68

70+68= 138 meaning that to get an A* you'd need 138 or more

For this year, Let's say
Unit 1: A* 75/90
Unit 2: A* 68/90

A*= 89+65= 140

Surely it would work like that, check previous grade boundaries and see for yourself

I think as a whole the exam was easy.
But I'm still beating myself up about the things I got wrong. Like the Social Mobility question; idk how I forgot about meritocracy. Instead I made up a whole load of bull about how scholarships can encourage social mobility in schools. That's 5 marks gone. Then I also kinda messed up on the families 12 markers about socialisation. Shouldve chosen the other one. Oh well, still got thursdays exam...

Don't worry i messed up on the 12 mark too cos i ran out of time 😫 and a few others too but lets pray to God and hope we do well and revise like mad for unit 2 lol

I feel seriously confused now lol. I thought we had to contrast 2 sampling techniques in the 6 mark question? At least thats what the question said anyway

That's what I thought too, I thought I was imagining things oops

Yeah me too I was confused too. I used snowball sampling and compared with random sampling. One question was comparing sampling methods I think then the other was what research method you'd use and how it's useful
