can someone give me their predictions for pop, rivers, cold envirmomnst and energy? thanks

For rivers: Long profile- changing processes- types of erosion, transportation and deposition Types of load, Hjulstrom curve Cross profile, wetted perimeter, hydraulic radius, roughness, efficiency, links to velocity and discharge Landforms of erosion; potholes, rapids, waterfalls, gorges, meanders Landforms of deposition; braiding, meanders, levees, flood plains and deltas Process and impact of rejuvenation- knick points, waterfalls, river terraces and incised meanders Impact of flooding- two case studies Engineering Strategies /HtGPްԾ

okay will it be case study specific?

how would you answer the following question 'discuss how the uk's changing population structure is likely to affect employment in the health and care services over the next 25 years

talk about how the ageing population will lead to a strain on heathcare and pensions/benefits etc, it will also put pressure on the economically active population as there will be a higher dependency ratio
I think tides might come up for Coasts. We've not had a question on that before.
do you think population theories will come up?

it would advisory that you go over the other fluvioglacial processes because it is likely that eskers wont come as that came up in 2013 but it may well be a 15 marker about discussing two fluvioglacial processes. plucking and abrasion are the key to success you can petty much use them anywhere from the formation of a corrie to how a glacier moves. it is also likely that the movement of glaciers wont come as a 15 marker. I'm predicting that it will be on tourism in Antarctica as it hasn't ever come if I'm right.

How about something like;

'Exploitation has implications'
Examine how Tundra Areas have been exploited.
[15 marks]

this would probably be a low mark question

Hey
Please can someone give me a list of all the case studies that we need to know for population.

I know on the spec it says "Attempts to manage populationchange to achieve sustainable development withreference to two case studies of countries at differentstages of development."
And I have been using UK Ageing and Uganda Youthful for this, but someone from another class is using China and Indonesia
... arrrgh please help i'm sooo confused

hi Madeline Hannah, the uk ageing population and Uganda are good case studies to use for this 15 marker, after completing it in class and using Indonesia and Australia I have been advised, by a specialist #missG, to use Indonesia and china as they can be easily compared but the UK case study is slightly more difficult to interpret in my opinion. the study of managing the population of Indonesia is about the transmigration and china's is about the one child policy.

Population theories are an odd one- they're not explicitly on the spec! So just make sure you have a basic understanding of them and move on

Ok thank you, I'll just go over them to make sure I understand them.
anyone have notes on France's "code de la family" strategy
If I'm correct, Dalmation coastlines are islands which were once hills, but due to eustatic rise in sea level, have been submerged and all that is left is the top of them sticking out of the water, appearing as islands. Hope this helps!!

Think so, for AQA last year was 66/120 on unit 1 and 36/50 on unit 2 for As.

I don't understand this "youthful population" stuff.. My teacher never taught us this and hasn't mentioned it once?

Neither but it isn't necessary to know a case study for it.
