oh, is your exam board aqa for english lit?
Ahhhh, 'Of Mice and Men'!
What other novel are you studying?
Good luck revising - what methods do you use?
I think Carlson would be an interesting question, but quite tricky to analyse...

Yup, I am doing aqa english lit! I am studying 'Inspector calls' and 'Of mice of men'. I am pretty sure in the 'Of mice of men' questions it is set out so that you answer part a- from a passage and part b- on the rest of the book.

Yeah, that is true, what happens in chapter 4?

I don't mean to be rude but predicting isn't going to make you any better off. Just revise!

My teacher thinks part B will be the opening and closing settings
My teacher thinks that the question might be about the last chapter- lennies death and the whole cyclical structure as this is the last year 'of mice and men' will be in the syllabus so they might end it off with that?? it could also be about curly coz that hasnt come up in a while...
and does anyone have any predictions of An inspector calls??

thnks guys  good luck revising

My teacher said that Carlson will never come up because he is not relevant in the novel. Focus on the main characters and the themes.

Characters : George, Lennie, Candy, Curly, Curley's wife, Crooks and Slim

Can't remember themes apart from dreams
Zamestaneh should be able to help you out here.

How can I help, or is this a veiled joke linking to the title of the book?

I thought you might be able to assist with interpreting the text

I only talk about books where I mostly understand the interpretation other than when I am presenting my own interpretation to be corrected so I learn more e.g. the passages from the Quran, or presenting my understanding of the Granth (to be corrected/addressed by Sikhs) etc.

In my humble view, perhaps this is more your field since GCSE English credits good marks for creative forms of interpretating texts.
