Yeah i recall the line as y = -32x+40 that then leads to x = -5/4

And regarding another question about Q, the answer doesnt have to be (-5/4,0), as it only asks for x anyway so -5/4 is fine.

C wouldn't have been 40 because the y intercept was in the negative axis. C was negative 40
what did you guys get for the translation? (0.5 , - 41/4) ?

I didn't get that for b coordinate, I got something with -7 because c was the midpoint🙈🙈

There was 2 B coordinate questions. one for circle and another was an intersection

That sounds right.

Yes! the x-coordinate should be 12, resulting in B(12,-7)!

That's what I got! Phew

I got B(12,-7) because i calculated it from using the midpoint as C and it got me the correct value for k when i did BC so I'm confused.

Sure did

I got B (12,-7)
Here are some of the answers I remember getting and they're not in the right order so just let me know if any of these look familiar:

m = -1.5

B (-3, 4)

(3√5)^2 = 45, then part b was 75 - 32√5

y = x^2 - 7x + 2
= (x -3.5)^2 - 10.25

Translation through (0.5, 10.25) (idk how to get it in vector form on here)

k = -30 for something

(x-5)^2 + (y+2)^2 = 65, B(12, -7) (something like that, I can't remember tbh)

length CT = 9

integral = 5, area of trapezium = 63, shaded area = 58

R = 20, y = (x-2)(x - 3x -14) +20

I think the last question was something about a tangent and I got k = 4, k = 20

I got 7/4 for something in a question but idek what for

add anything else you remember please

I got p as y=-32x -40 not sure if it's right though. ****ed that paper up big time.

Hi I got that too not sure but not if I saw that it crosses at 3/4!

I thought so too! There were lots of big numbers, and also some fractions, which is irritating :frown:

the horrible integral being in 12ths and having a bajillion minuses :s-smilie:

(0.5,41/4)

from (x-3.5)^2 -41/4 to (x-4)^2

move along 0.5 move up 41/4

What equation did everyone get for the discriminant to work out k??

k=20, k=4 FAM
This paper was lit fam, I got 75, it was easy fam, I managed to do it in 23 minutes, and I am not even Asian fam

Radius = root65

eqn of circle is (y+3)^2, not +2 as you wrote up there
What do you think of AQA? ****, what do you think of ****? AQA

i got k^2 + 24k + 80, just not sure whether some of the values are negative or positive
Anyone else get

x = -1 plus or minus root 5?
What were your critical values for the final inequality question?

I got (0.5, 10.25) so positive ? And i think for my cord of B it was 12,-7 but i cant remember I just remeber having (-2,1) and it moved (7,-4) so I doubled this to give (12,-7).

And I got k=20 and k=4 too
