What state symbols did you guys use for the reaction of Carbon monoxide and Oxygen making carbon dioxide?
Original post by Jay431
Same!!!

Why can't the sqa just release the paper on their website an hour or two after the exam :/

Because they're annoying...

Pretty sure you can't bring out section b as you write on it

Yeah but teachers get spare copies

I agree.

When I first came out I thought it was hard, then I came home, and thought it was okay and now I feel like it's hard again.

Lost too many easy 1 markers.

Yes all these 1 markers will make my mark go down. I misread a lot of questions which cause me to loose marks.

I just put CO + O2 ----> CO2

I'm now relying on my assignment to hopefully boost me up a little bit.

Same! I was about to put state symbols, But in one of the hodder gibson model paper books a similar question came up and they never put symbols in.

Gold is unreactive, something like that. It was talking about how it doesn't react with anything

Yeah I wrote how it was unreactive with a variety of different chemicals and substances

Yep.

Then it went on to say what part does gold play?

I wrote it's a catalyst and it does something to the carbon monoxide, can't mind

I just said it was a catalyst

I just want to see paper 2 really badly now!!!

When do sqa release the papers on their website?
For the first question in paper 2 this is what I got:

a) Proton - 1 mass
Neutron - 0 charge

ii) Electron and -1 charge

iii) relative atomic mass = 14.5

b) Pyramidal

ii) Haber process

Is that roughly what you guys got for the first 5?
