No, they are two completely different reactions.
Sorry no. Oxidation is the gain of oxygen by a substance or the loss of electrons. Thermal decomposition is a reaction in which a substance is broken down into at least two other substances by heat.

OMG i accidentally wrote oxidation as i literally had 3o seconds left and i ticked copper! LMAO oh well xD
