Hi guys, need a little help with a method of differences question if that's okay. The partial fractions gives three terms and I wrote down the expansion (I did this correctly as I checked it against the mark scheme), however I saw no pattern in cancelling out the terms. What is the protocol for going about this when there are three terms instead of 2?

I have linked the mark scheme's expansion. fp2 capture.PNG

hey what year was this question?? looks interesting

thanks

Same as the normal 2013 paper then. Thanks
Can anyone help with a complex number transformation question? I have attempted this and have only seemed to be able to come out with two arg's or get really confused when I start comparing real and imaginary parts. The mark scheme doesn't help too much. I have attached the questionfp2 capture 2.JPG

Why was it withdrawn?

Tiny hobbit said something about this, apparently the papers were delivered to the wrong place or something by a certain delivery van and they had to issue the replacement papers.

did the guy miss a step? why didnt he differentiate it, find t when x' is 0.

You don't need to differentiate, you know that sine is a bounded function and takes it's maximum value when sin =1. You can if you want to though, it's just a waste of time.
I did Edexcel papers. where can I get extra resources for this model?

How do you get from there to there? I don't understand this...

Thanks in advance
