A* at A-Level

Can you get an A* overall at A-Level, regardless of your AS grade if you get 90% + on all A2 modules?
Or must you get 90%+ on all your A2 modules as well as an A at AS?

I know for sciences and maths you need 80%(480/300 ums) over all, with 90% ums in your A2 units. So therefor you could get a B (70% 210/300ums) at AS, and 90%(270/300) in A2 and get an A* over all.

I got 3 B's last year in math, biology and chemsitry. So I'm in the position where if I want an A I actually need to obtain an A* which I guess is weird that I will either end up with B's or A*'s this year as it's impossible for me to get an A
I was wondering this too. Specifically for English Lit B.

For four-unit A levels you must:
* score at least 320 UMS marks for your overall A level grade (average 80%)
* score at least 180 UMS marks at A2 (average 90%)

For six-unit A levels (except maths) you must:
* score at least 480 UMS marks for your overall A level grade (average 80%)
* score at least 270 UMS marks at A2 (average 90%)
