Any luck with tinder

Has anyone actually had any serious luck with Tinder? I had lots of matches early on but they've gone down to nothing :frown:

No messages, and very few replies when I initiate. I should highlight I initiate a lot.

I think there is a bug or something in the app. Had a lot of success early on.

Apparently the Android version is bugged, or so I've read numerous times.
I've had minor success, just a few numbers but all of them flaked at one point or another. Shame really.

I swiped no so much it ran out of eligible people within a 150 kilometre radius and I only got one match.

I think Tinder isn't really my game...

From what I've heard Tinder has crashed in popularity severely. I think inactive to active accounts is quite a staggering amount and that could easily be one of the reasons for lack of matches?

LMAO seriouisly forget it! I think Tinder has had its hey day if I am honest!! I was on there when it first came about, and it was buzzing! Nowadays (I am led to believe, I am no longer on there), it is full of fakes / wind up merchants just looking for a bit of a game play with someone!

Seriously, do yourself a favour, and do what people use to do back in the day - GET OUT AND SOCIALISE! :smile:

My previous 6 month relationship stemmed from Tinder.

I've been using it on and off for about two years and have over a thousand matches.

Out of those thousand matches, I've been on 4 dates, 6 one night stands, lots of numbers and hundreds of flakes. Made a couple of 'e-friends', whom I talk to fairly regularly. (Skype etc)
A couple of no show dates and 3 catfishes. Plus the 6 month relationship. I don't know whether you'd call that successful or not, haha!

I've given up with it now and deleted my account.

OP- I met my partner on Tinder and it's totally about how you use it or what you want out of it. Speaking to some friends i've heard bumble is the new hip happening app for the youths nowadays!

Yea, think it may have had it's day ah well nevermind.
I don't actually get out and socialise much anymore. Gotta expand my friend circle. I've day gamed twice recently but have no real desire to do that, plus there is the huge risk factor.

Same thing with me! I don't think its a bug, i think less people are using it now, its a dying trend haha.
Tinder is never really the best source to meet new people, in my opinion its better to go out and meet people rather than online!

Tinder's old news. You're probably not getting matches because most people have stopped using it.
Most people use/d apps like tinder more as an ego boost than an actual way of dating because getting matches is an indicator of your attractiveness. No one's really interested in anything beyond that.

I used it (as well as bumble) a few months back for about a month when I was in a casual-dating phase and it worked for me. Went on one-off dates with 4 girls and matched with about 26 girls in total. Eventually the whole thing got boring and I deleted the app. It's nice actually going on dates, but the part beforehand is tedious. I really don't enjoy talking to people via text or online chat; it's repetitive, uninteresting and doesn't give you an accurate sense of that person's personality.

It doesn't help that most people are flakes/completely incapable of writing a decent text to begin with. I could never get a proper date on there because anyone I tried to initiate a conversation with were just boring.

Yeah, make sure you delete your account! My best mate deleted the app thinning he had deleted his account in the process because he had gotten a girlfriend. Not long after his girlfriend's mate found him on Tinder and it caused a massive argument, was pretty funny when we realised why he was still on there though.
