It wasn't through any of their own doing they kept him though. The Real Madrid paperwork was late and went past the deadline. Only then did he sign a new contract.


Kept him regardless though and he's cemented his place as the best in the world.

I think rather than crediting Man Utd for keeping him, we should say they're lucky to have kept him and not lost him to Real, lol. I think he's second best - Neuer is the the best.

Tbh i'm quite surprise with the way news broke out the way it has. If the plan was to announce it on tuesday, who "leaked" it essentially?
We were all expecting it but not the way it's come out.

Nah it worked like that with Moyes too.

United probably just briefed the media for the fans now but won't officially sack him until Mon/Tues to allow LVG to have a few days as the FA cup winners. Could also be Mourinho's people that leaked it though.

That was a young DDG. This is a Neuer coming off a season where he was 3rd in the BDO.
DDG has surpassed him.
