I'm doing US politics and it seems so much easier than what you are doing! Think it's so unfair how many different exams and units there are to study with some easier and some harder - good luck with yours!!😁

Aww thank you, that's so sweet! :h: Good luck with yours too - let's be honest they're all exams, and none of us have it easy :emo:

Haha thankyou!😊 Definately - A levels are so difficult and revision is endless. Good luck to everyone and I can't wait until it's over!!

Guys I'd really appreciate help with 3B and 4B.
I feel like I have good knowledge of the topics but sometimes I'm worried I'm answering the questions kind of wrong.
For 45 markers do u basically always have to explain each key doctrine of the ideology and link it to the question?
EXAMPLES
To what extent is nationalism a backward looking ideology?
-'Nationalism is a recipe for peace and international order.' Discuss.
-'Nationalism is inherently expansionist and aggressive.' Discuss.
So for these questions you need to just know about Conservative, liberal, anti colonial and chauvinistic nationalism then talk about each ones beliefs then link it to the question and discuss their differences within the q?
I feel like if this is the case then 45 markers are much easier than 15 markers because u just need to know general knowledge of the doctrines..

And also for stuff like "Why did Marx think that capitalism was doomed to collapse" 15marks
Do u just talk about ur whole knowledge of Marxism eg.the belief in diff Econ stages, economic reasons for the fall of capitalism and then the socialist and communist stages that follow. I feel like there isn't enough content sometimes on these 15 markers and u just need to show extended knowledge that doesn't necessarily link to the q? Or is that gaps in my knowledge? Thanks guys
Guys my recommendation for revising for this is look at each ideologies sub ideologies and their beliefs and clashes. If I'm correct in my post above then it will deal with almost all the 45 markers (within 4B and socialism at least, haven't looked at the rest of 3b properly yet)
Eg feminism learn radicals liberals socialists and conservative critscism as well as criticisms of eachother same within socialism between Marxism Leninism Stalinism democratic socialism social democracy. I think all the 45 markers for 4b and socialism just need this kind of knowledge. It's the 15 markers that need more in depth knowledge.
I'm not a 100% sure on this correct me if I'm wrong
Guys which is easier? Conservatism or Liberalism. Not sure which one to do

Imo, conservatism. However, Liberalism only has two strands to worry about - I'm a lot more comfortable with Conservative core beliefs though.

In terms of Nationalism 45 markers you are right, you pretty much need to know 3/4 strands of them as most of nationalism questions are 'single doctrine questions'. However, don't make it a rule for 45 markers, often structuring 45 markers thematically is better and you score lots of marks for it as you clearly show the debate (not really the case with Nationalism)

15 Markers are indeed harder, and you're more likely to go off the topic or repeat yourself that's why they don't necessarily expect 2 sides answer but again that depends of a question

I haven't really revised socialism but I believe for that particular questions you would take about the stages as you said, then about class consciousness and then communism but I'm not entirely sure ,so it's better to check ms or examiners report(some of sample answers there are brilliant !)

For me it's Liberalism . However, if there's 45 marker considering New Right then that's much easier than Liberalism.

What will the 45 marker consist off
New right vs one nation ?

Just to add.
In terms of 15 markers
Always define the key term and link to the ideology, then have 3 paragraphs (Firstly they support this cos ...,Secondly,they support this cos ...etc.)
Sign post each paragraph clearly so that examiner knows what you're going to show. Give evidence ( thinkers) and try to go straight to the point. Include key terms and if there is external knowledge ,include it.

In terms of 45 Markers its a good idea to do strand vs. strand within same paragraph when doing thematically .
Have as many counter-points as possible ,even if its one sentence ,and then always have mini conclusion at end of each paragraph and compering 2 or 3 strands within paragraph will help you to do that. LINK UNIT 3 THINKERS WITH UNIT 4,even if it doesn't tell you to do so also LINK LIBERAL THINKERS WITH CONSERVATIVE ETC... it will all put you in the top level,I do assure you of that

I'm so behind I literally feel like crying
Out of ecologism and nationalism which is quickly and easier to learn bare in mind I only have two weeks lol
