GCSE AQA A Geography 1 - 24th May 2016

Tomorrow I am sitting the higher paper. Feeling fairly ready, but does anybody have any revision tips for now, the night before? The modules I am doing are: Restless Earth; Water on the Land; Coastal Zones.

I was also thinking of watching a geography-related film tonight. Any recommendations which would be better than 'San Andreas' starring The Rock?

Anyone have any predictions or advice for tomorrows exam. I'm doing the restless earth, the living world and the coastal zone! I feel like tsunamis will be the 8 marker for restless earth, deserts for living world and coastal habitat for the coastal zone.

One specific earthquake wont come up they would say using a case study talk bout a ledc or medc earthquake, but they wont give you one specific one to relate to.

Montserrat - Eruption of Volcano LEDC
Yellowstone - Supervolcano (potential impacts)
L'Aquila, Italy - Earthquake MEDC
Kashmir, Pakistan - Earthquake LEDC
Asian Boxing Day 2004 - Tsunami
The Alps - Adaptations and Uses in Fold Mountains

Or for the MEDC earthquake you got Chile and for the LEDC you got Haiti

If someone hasn't already posted this:
a. How are you feeling for the exam?
b. Which topics are you doing for the physical paper?
I'm doing Plates, Rivers and Coasts

Feel free to ask questions here too.

Remember that the paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes and you're advised to spend 30 minutes on each question - though you should know which questions you're doing by now.

Remember that case studies form the basis of your 6-8 mark questions and:
If it asks for causes, do physical and human.
If it asks for effects, do SEEP (which is social, economic, environmental and political/physical)
If it asks for responses, do short term, then long term.

Good luck!
(Oh, and feel free to predict questions as well.)

A) I'm ok, not great- need to carry on revising.
B) Restless Earth, Water on land and Coasts.

Yes I was just giving the example that a lot of people would use

You choose the case study. Naturally, AQA is being very vague and only wants you to describe or explains with a bit of case study detail. The tsunamis has already come up though and they can ask on just the ledc or medc as proven by past papers.
Any predictions for Restless earth , Living world and Water on the land????
