Could anyone give me any guidance for what to revise (or learn in my case!) for the electronics GCSE on the 24th. After four teachers, two of them who don't know a lot about electronics, and having only one proper revision lesson left before we go onto our exam timetables, and we never got our mocks back, I'm very worried about this one and what to revise

I feel like I should reply on here too. I have had a teacher who has been teaching electronics for years and he always has one of the highest pass rates in the country. However, he was off for about 8 weeks earlier on in the year just before we were doing our mocks so we didn't have a clue what to do. we have only had about 3 revision lessons with him and I feel like it has really helped. good luck

Electronics has been bad at my school. We started well but soon after we started coursework, my teacher abruptly left. We were then given someone who specialised in graphics, who told us to go in a different direction with out coursework (with how we did the portfolio) He got us three months behind. He left recently, taking our mock exams we probably failed with him. Now, we had two teachers. One who's amazing and had really helped, and managed to get coursework done with a week to spare. The other has helped with design but knows nothing about electronics itself. We had two lessons on section A preparation but we've only had an hour today to prepare for the rest of the course! Hoping that I can get a C but I'm not putting all my hopes on it.

Good luck to you as well
just make sure that you know what is most likely to come up and read through things, use past papers tonight as a last minute revision thing

Our teacher likes to use this really great youtube channel if you like revising with videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/bodgeJobRob There's a series of videos specifically aimed at revision so they would probably be most helpful. Good luck with your exam tomorrow

Thanks for this. Looks like my next hour will be doing his quiz!!!
Hope your exam went well today I was wondering if you could just give me an idea of what you did for the coursework? Obviously the briefs will be different but I'm looking for some inspiration on the types of different things I could do Thanks!

Definitely better than the mock! Just hoping I've done enough to pass!
I did a scalextric start gate with LDR's which detect if there is a jump start

wow those sound cool I think I'm leaning towards the music and sound brief making a mini keyboard or something but that might be because we've just spent the best part of 6 weeks working with pic chips and breadboarding which I love
