Okay session tonight. Feeling a bit off today.

Squats:

125 x 5/5

Light squats.

Press:

72.5 x 5/5/5/5/5

Happy with this. A little harder than last time.

Did 6 chins, but shoulders and arms tired, so did some foam rolling then went home.

All power to you hitting 5x5 with strict press.

I did 65 for 6x6 today, absolute monster of an exercise to get through. Literally at the start of each set thinking; "have I rested long enough to not balls this up and lose my fourth/fifth/sixth rep"

Do you find that you rest longer between sets of strict press than you might other exercises?

No. Squats are the longest, due to the amount of dread. I think; I don't really time my rest periods, but I think my squat rest periods are generally longer than my pressing or benching ones. But today I think I did rest a bit longer.

Good session tonight. Got a bit of a sore head later on, though.

Squats:

167.5 x 5/5/5

As difficult as last time. Stance maybe slightly too narrow and last set which made it more difficult than the others.

Paused bench press:

97.5 x 3/3/3/3/3

Last rep of each set very difficult.

Barbell rows:

95 x 6/6/6

Then home.
Tonight was egregious.

Squats:

127.5 x 5/5

Light squats, and about the only thing that went okay.

Press:

70 x 3

Arms and shoulders just felt ****ed.

Tried deadlifts but didn't even have 160 in me (possibly grip related) so went home.
Tonight was decent enough.

Squats:

170 x 5/5/5

As difficult as the last heavy effort. Stance maybe a bit narrow on the second set. Technique a bit hit or miss. But I don't think they were quite as hard as the last time I did this.

Paused bench:

100 x 3
90 x 5/5

Triple was quite hard. Fives weren't too bad.

Chins:

bodyweight x 5/5/5

Going to have to work back up at these.

Foam rolling then home.
Just a quick one this afternoon. The way things panned out meant I didn't have much time to squeeze a session in.

Squats:

127 x 5/5

Light squats.

Press:

75 x 4

Was hoping for five. But was in a rush and don't usually train this time of day, so that's my excuse.

Then home.

Decent enough session this evening. Wasn't in long.

Bench press:

100 x 3/3/3 - paused
90 x 6/6 - TnG

Decent enough. Five straight triples paused probably isn't enough, probably need use fives to build strength.

Deficit deadlifts (yellow/15 kg plate):

170 x 5

Not too bad at all. What I like about these is that they really force you to get tight at the bottom, which is one of my weaknesses.

Then home.
Decent enough session tonight, overall.

Squats:

172.5 x 5/5/1

Back wasn't strong enough so only did 1 rep on last set. Other sets very difficult.

Press:

75 x 5/5/5

Pretty difficult, but a PR.

Chins:

bodyweight x 6/6/6/3

Some foam rolling, lacrosse ball work, then home.
Decent session tonight.

Squats:

130 x 5/5

Light squats.

Bench press:

102.5 x 3/3/3 - paused

Very difficult, but that's my old touch-n'-go PR...

Incline dumbbell bench press:

30s x 8/8

Not too bad.

Deficit deadlifts:

175 x 5

Same as last time.

Then home.
