For the trig I used both a cast diagram and a sin graph to help me answer it, will that be accepted?
I got the answer right but i didnt make it obvious that i used CAST

Omg I used both too. I drew the CAST and then used the graphs to double check my answers. Hope it is okay :redface:

Question 10, the last question used radians for the perimeter and area

Geometric:
b) 256
c) 1.601

Binomial:
A = 16
k = 7/2
B = 936

Integration:
S = 24.3

Trapezium:
a) 7
b) 20.75
c) R = 5.75

Factor theorem:
a) 5
c) (x + 2)(3x + 2)(2x - 1)

Differentiation(Q10):
a) 1/3PIx^2
d) Minimum = 120m
c) x = 16.63... => f''(x) = 0.437 > 0

Trig identities:
a) Theta = 8/15Pi , -2/15Pi
b) x = 194.5, 345.5

Circle:
a) root(34)
c) 3x + 5x - 95 = 0

Log:
i) (a - 5)/9
ii) -2.19

Geometric part c) is actually 1.602 to 3 decimal places

SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER, FOR THE MINIMUM VALUE OF P MY X VALUE WAS CORRECT HOWEVER I DID NOT SUB IT INTO P HOW MANY MARKS WILL I LOSE? LOOKING AT THIS MARK SCHEME IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY 1 BUT I CAN BE WRONG

A1 definitely but no more than 2
I think I've lost 5 marks max, a few on question 1, even though I did ar^(10-1) - ar^(9-1) I got -0.025 and the other for the proof of the perimeter even though I got y= 500/x -x/12(4Pi +3root3)

No, i think it said 3 decimal places

Original post by AstarAstarA
3 decimal places anyone?

ahh, :angry: this has happened twice now, in fp1, now in c2. I can't believe I'm going to lose a mark for that.

i did this and got 1.602.. to 3d.p... anyone else got 1.602 or most got 1.601?

I got 1.602!

For q9 x= 16.63, did the x need to be to the nearest metre or something, I thought they just wanted the perimeter to the nearest meter but can't remember what the question said

No, just the perimeter, which was 120, I think.

i got -2.19.

anyone get 9b+5 for a in terms of b?

the question asked for b in terms of a so b=. the answer was b=(a-5)/9

Pretty sure 1c rounded to 1.602...
Original post by SeminMeminDemon
What did you get for the Logs?

one of the solutions were unsolvable since 2^0 = x
and the other solution was -2.19
